چکیده

Perturbation theory is applied to one-dimensional scattering systems consisting of a general class inhomogeneous and isotropic slabs having size $L$ described by the relative permittivity $\varepsilon(z) = 1 + \alpha \chi(z)$, where $\chi(z)$ electric susceptibility $\alpha$ perturbation parameter. The transmitted reflected amplitudes are shown be written as Born series in powers Pad\'e approximants used obtain analytical results with high arbitrary degree accuracy. approach very can handle oblique incidence. Examples given for transmission reflection plane waves interacting Hermitian non-Hermitian structures known unknown exact solutions.

Application of Wavelets to Scattering Problems of Inhomogeneous Dielectric Slabs

In this paper, we apply the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and the discrete wavelet packet transform (DWPT) with the Daubechies wavelet of order 16 to effectively solve for the electromagnetic scattering from a one-dimensional inhomogeneous slab. Methods based on the excitation vector and the [Z] matrix are utilized to sparsify an MoM matrix. As we observed, there are no much high frequency c...

Time Stepping Via One-Dimensional Padé Approximation

The numerical solution of time-dependent ordinary and partial differential equations presents a number of well known difficulties—including, possibly, severe restrictions on time-step sizes for stability in explicit procedures, as well as need for solution of challenging, generally nonlinear systems of equations in implicit schemes. In this note we introduce a novel class of explicit methods ba...

Three - Dimensional Electromagnetic Inverse Scattering

A numerical algorithm for the reconstruction of the permittivity of a three-dimensional penetrable object from scattering data is presented. The reconstruction algorithm is based on the local shape function method (LSF) combined with the conjugate gradient method with FFT (CGFFT). The nonlinearity due to the multiple scattering is accounted for in an iterative minimization scheme. Numerical exa...

Localization in One Dimensional Random Media: a Scattering Theoretic Approach

We use scattering theoretic methods to prove exponential local-ization for random displacement models in one dimension. The operators we consider model both quantum and classical wave propagation. Our main tools are the reeection and transmission coeecients for compactly supported single site perturbations. We show that randomly displaced, non-reeectionless single sites lead to localization. 1....

Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves by Rough Interfaces and Inhomogeneous Layers∗

We consider a two-dimensional problem of scattering of a time-harmonic electromagnetic plane wave by an infinite inhomogeneous conducting or dielectric layer at the interface between semi-infinite homogeneous dielectric half-spaces. The magnetic permeability is assumed to be a fixed positive constant. The material properties of the media are characterized completely by an index of refraction, w...
